STUDENTS OF YSU FACULTY OF LAW TAKE PART IN “WILLEM S. VIS INTERNATIONAL COMMERCIAL ARBITRATION” MOOT COURT
On April 12-18, the team consisted of the students of YSU and other universities took part in the 26th “Willem S. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot” held in Vienna.
Tigran Dadunts (YSU), Mery Khachatryan (YSU), Hasmik Movsesyan ( UFAR) and Diana Sakanyan (AUA) took part in the moot court under the sponsorship of the German International Cooperation (GIZ) and under the mentorship of the post-graduate of the Chair of European and International Law of YSU Faculty of Law Grigor Chobanyan.
It should be noted that the Armenian team didn’t managed to enter the semi-final however in the verbal stage they took priority over the Fordham team (USA). The jury particularly distinguished the privilege of the team over the team representing Turkey.
The mentor of the team Grigor Chobanyan noted that the participation in the moot is of great significance for development the education in the field of international commercial law and international arbitration.
