NEW PERSPECTIVES OF COOPERATION BETWEEN RA MFA AND YSU FACULTY OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
On April 25, the RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Zohrap Mnatsakanyan met with the representatives and students of YSU Faculty of International Relations.
The MFA Secretary General Vahagn Melikyan, the Dean of YSU Faculty of International Relations Gegham Petrosyan, Deputy Dean Arthur Israelyan, the head of the Chair of International Relations and Diplomacy Vahram Petrosyan and about 30 students of the faculty were present at the meeting.
Greeting those present Minister Mnatsakanyan stressed that YSU had had its special contribution in the development of the diplomatic service after Armenia’s independence. He expressed hope the cooperation between the university and the ministry will be long-term.
The RA MF Minister presented the priorities of Armenia’s foreign policy and referred to the regional and international fundamental problems.
The Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Gegham Petrosyan expressed gratitude for the useful lecture as the students had the opportunity to get to know about Armenia’s foreign policy from the first person.
At the end of the meeting, on the event of the 20th anniversary of the Faculty of International Relations of YSU awarded Doctor of history, Professor Gegham Petrosyan and the Candidate of Historical Science, Associate Professor Vahram Petrosyan with the 2nd degree honorary medals of MFA. After the awards the Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the RA MFA and YSU Faculty of Foreign Relations.
