SU Rector Aram Simonyan, the representatives of the Rectorate, heads of various departments, deans, SC, SSS and teaching staff, students traditionally laid flowers at the memorial of the Great Patriotic and Artsakh wars which is situated in the area of the university.
Then they moved to “Haghtanak” (“Victory”) park to lay flowers at the Eternal Flame.
The Dean of the Faculty of history Edik Minasyan spoke about the significance of May 9, about the contribution about 600 thousand Armenians had in the victory to achieve which 200 thousand Armenians fell in battle fields.
Then the Universitarians visited “Yerablur” Pantheon to lay flowers at the graves of the freedom fighters fallen during Artsakh war.
