100 BOOKS ON THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF YSU
Today, Doctor of Economics, Professor Tatul Manaseryan presented more than 100 names of literature to the YSU library after Sarkis and Marie Izmirlyan.
The director of YSU library Yeznik Mirzoyan noted that it is not the first present given by Mr. Manaseryan to the library. He also expressed hope that this action will encourage other professors to follow Manaseryan’s example.
Speaking about the action Professor Tatul Manaseryan said that the idea was born last year when he turned to his numerous colleagues in the USA and Europe asking to share specialized literature with them. There are also books from Mr. Manaseryan’s personal library which he has purchased in different countries.
The books deal with economics, law, sociology, business law, marketing. Among them are the books by eminent American marketing author Philip Kotler. The head of the Chair of Turkish Studies Professor Alexander Safaryan was present at the event.
He informed that the next week he was going to present more than 200 names of books to YSU library. The books were printed in Turkey, other Turkish-speaking countries, in the West and Turkish-speaking entities of Russia and examples of these books can’t be found even in the National library and the RS NAS libraries.
“On the occasion of YSU Centennial we call all our colleagues to present unique books to YSU library”, said Professor Safaryan.
