The YSU Entrepreneurship Development Centre together with City University and Change School of London carried out the “Creative spark” programme of higher Education Enterprise at Yerevan State University.
The goal of the “Creative spark” programme is to boost development of creative entrepreneurial education and to support establishment of international collaboration of educational institutions of the countries participating in the programme including Armenia.
The programme is carried out by the British Council in Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kirgizia), in the Southern Caucasus (Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia) and in the Ukraine.
It should be noted that the programme is resulted in “Big Idea Challenge” contest. Among the 10 video clips won in the local stage was the tam of the YSU Entrepreneurship Development Centre with its “ Paper from stone” idea.
The members of the team are the 3rd year student of the Faculty of Chemistry Shushanna Vardanyan and the 4th year student of the Faculty of European Languages and Communication Araksia Arakelyan.
They suggest an alternative way of making paper. According to their idea, making paper from limestone doesn’t harm the environment and is less expensive.
