About program
Yerevan State University's Center for Continuing Education (CCE) with the financial support of the European Union and in cooperation with the British organization Conciliation Resources is implementing a program, the purpose of which is the development of communication, negotiation, conflict management, and prevention capabilities.
Within the framework of the program, the CCE intends to develop and implement an educational program providing a certificate of "Conciliation and Conflict Resolution" in YSU which will consist of the following components:
Conflict analysis and resolution
Alternative Dispute Resolution (Conciliation/Mediation)
Research methods for conflict research
To develop and implement the program, the CCE announces an open competition for all interested professionals to form an interdisciplinary team to develop the educational program.
Terms of the competition
Scope of work
The following works and/or outcomes are planned within the framework of the program:
Study existing university-level similar programs/courses, as well as research and studies conducted in the local context, particularly familiarizing with the theories and case studies included in such programs, the literature used, to identify/define the key content to be included in the YSU program.
Based on the results of the study, develop an educational program providing a certificate in "Conciliation and Conflict Resolution" for Master's students or professionals who already have some work experience, and want to better understand the concepts and approaches of conflict analysis and resolution, as well as acquire skills in their work for their practical application.
Effectively adapt and integrate existing knowledge on alternative dispute resolution, conflict analysis and resolution, and methods used in conflict-related research into the Armenian education system.
Develop and present at least one of the courses included in the Educational Program to the discussion and approval of the working group, participate in the work meetings of the formed interdisciplinary group, get acquainted with the programs developed by other members of the group, and submit observations on them.
Who can apply?
Individual lecturers/postgraduate students and researchers working in YSU and other scientific and educational institutions of Armenia who meet the following criteria can participate in the competition:
Education (at least a Master's degree, preferably an academic rank) in conflict resolution, Sociology, Anthropology, Political Science, Philosophy, Psychology, Law, or other relevant fields.
At least three years of teaching experience.
At least five years of research work experience on relevant topics.
A list of conducted research and published articles related to the proposed topic.
Excellent knowledge of English.
