The inter-university summer school, organized by the Chair of European and International Law at the Law Faculty, took place at the YSU Guest House in Tsaghkadzor under the theme "Current Issues in International Law."
The summer school welcomed students and professors from a diverse range of institutions, including YSU Faculty of Law, Russian-Armenian University, the International Scientific Educational Center of NAS RA, the Public Administration Academy of RA, the MIA Educational Complex, Armenian State Pedagogical University, and Eurasia International University.
The program featured a series of insightful reports, lively discussions, and interactive sessions addressing current issues in international law. Key topics covered included the settlement of international investment disputes, arbitration law and alternative dispute resolution methods, the perspectives of Armenia’s interstate complaints to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), international legal protections for forcibly displaced persons, the recognition of the Armenian Genocide, and issues related to the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court.
The three-day discussions were held in a warm inter-university atmosphere, with participants agreeing to pursue further collaborative efforts in the future.
