On October 1, 2024, the YSU Faculty of Law and "Social Justice" NGO officially announced the start of the implementation of a new grant within the framework of the "Justice Reform Monitoring in Armenia" ("JUREMONIA") project financed by the European Union.
In alignment with the financial support provided, lecturers from the YSU Faculty of Law will create and implement two new modules in the "Criminal Justice and Advocacy" master’s program: "Prohibition of Torture: International Standards and Local Practice" and "Theoretical and Practical Challenges of Conditional Release from Punishment".
As a result of these newly developed modules, students—who will become future law enforcement officers—will gain knowledge and skills that support reforms in the justice sector and enhance the effectiveness of human rights protection.
The duration of the educational grant is one year, from October 1, 2024, to October 1, 2025. The new modules will be integrated into the "Criminal Justice and Advocacy" master’s program starting in the 2025-2026 academic year.
