A moot court addressing the legal aspects of renting residential areas was held in the Educational Court Session Hall at the YSU Faculty of Law. It was organized by third-year students under the supervision of Arsen Tavadyan, Candidate of Legal Sciences and Associate Professor at the Chair of Civil Law.
On the plaintiff's side, third-year students Sara Hayrapetyan and Armen Zakunts presented their case, while Ruben Sarhadyan and Lilit Madatyan represented the defendants. The judge of the moot court was Aramayis Grigoryan.
The event began with a lecture prepared by the students, who highlighted gaps in the Republic of Armenia's legislation concerning residential rentals. They discussed the resulting violations of tenants' rights and the absence of adequate protections for vulnerable groups.
To conclude, the students presented a draft of legislative changes aimed at addressing these issues.
