On December 6, 2024, third-year students from YSU Faculty of Law, selected through a competitive process, had the opportunity to visit Abovyan Penitentiary Institution, which is designated for juveniles and women.
Under the guidance of Lianna Marukyan, a lecturer from the Chair of Criminal Law, the students learned about the conditions of serving sentences in the security zones of the Abovyan Penitentiary Institution, its structural subdivisions, and social rehabilitation programs. During the visit, they also raised several important legal questions.
The Faculty of Law frequently organizes such visits, aiming to ensure the practical application of academic knowledge.
