About the program
Admission requirements
The admission in full-time and part-time modes of study will be carried out by the requirements of the "YSU Master's degree (full-time and part-time) admission procedure".
The aim of the program
The program aims to prepare innovative specialists with deep knowledge of applied microbiology, the ability to conduct scientific research and to test and implement the results in production.
Advantages
During the learning process, both the YSU Chair of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Biotechnology and the Innovative Center for Microbial Biotechnologies and Biofuels, equipped with software and state-of-the-art equipment and resources are used. Internships are held in accredited expert laboratories and microbiological laboratories of various industries.
A double degree agreement is in effect within the Master's programs "Microbiology and Biotechnology", and "Microbiology and Physicochemistry of Food and Wine Production" (University of Burgundy, France).
Within the scope of the program, experienced lecturers-researchers teach, including internationally renowned guest lecturer Karapet Andranikyan (Technical University of Hamburg, Germany).
Career opportunities
Graduates of the program have the opportunity to work in organizations and enterprises operating in the field of applied biology and biotechnology as research workers, microbiologists of microbiological laboratories of food production, pharmaceutical and other companies, and laboratory managers. Graduates can continue their studies in Post-graduate studies, as well as work in the Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Biotechnology Chair of the Biology Research Institute of the YSU Faculty of Biology.
