Cooperation agreement signed between YSU and Institute of Botany after A. Takhtajyan of NAS RA Aiming to contribute to the development of scientific and educational fields through joint efforts, as well as to create opportunities for young professionals and students to strengthen and enhance their theoretical and practical knowledge, Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, Rector of YSU, and Arsen Gasparyan, Director of the Institute of Botany after A. Takhtajyan of NAS RA, signed a cooperation agreement between the two institutions.
Series of lectures devoted to Tatar language: YSU hosts Professor Gilles Authier from Sorbonne University Professor Gilles Authier from the Sorbonne University, Doctor at the Department of Caucasian Languages and Philology of the Practical School of Advanced Studies (Paris) delivers lectures at the Chair of Iranian Studies of the YSU Faculty of Oriental Studies. The professor gives lectures on Caucasian Persian (the Tatar language) dialects spoken in Azerbaijan.

State-of-the-art devices for studying useful properties of plants and fungi Armenia's rich biodiversity, including fungi and plants, are in the domain of YSU researchers’ study. Secondary metabolites in fungi and plants and their antifungal and antioxidant activities are currently being studied in the Laboratory of Botany and Mycology of the Research Institute of Biology. To organize the work more systematically, the institute will receive new generation devices.
YSU celebrates International Geologist's Day The International Geologist's Day was solemnly celebrated at YSU. During this occasion, the university signed memorandums with the Armenian Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure and the leading institutions in the field of geology, with the aim of developing the educational sector and enhancing the university-labor market linkage.

With the purpose of implementing a research project her studies will last 5 months.
