The importance of institutional research in strategic planning: Training course and workshop in Oldenburg The YSU delegation participated in a training course and workshop at the University of Oldenburg, Germany, as part of the "KPI4HE" project. This initiative provided an opportunity to gain insights into the importance of institutional research in the strategic planning processes of EU universities, aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of key performance indicators within higher education institutions.
Enhancing collaboration with UCLouvain through effective joint programs Yerevan State University and the UCLouvain collaborate under the Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility Programme. YSU, Territorial Administration Ministry, ZCMC to collaborate on joint geology projects Yerevan State University (YSU), RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure and Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine (ZCMC) signed a tripartite memorandum. The document was signed by YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan and General Director of ZCMC Roman Khudoliy. The parties agreed to collaborate on joint projects in geology, mining, mine exploitation, mining metallurgy, hydrogeology and other related fields.
YSU associate professor's research addresses environmental challenges in food system Associate Professor, Ph.D. Vardan Aleksanyan, Deputy Dean of the YSU Faculty of Economics and Management, has focused his research on the significant environmental challenges faced by the food system in recent years. Lecture on youth movements in post-Soviet Armenia A lecture titled "Yerevan in the 1970s: Stylistic Reflections and Daily Life" was held at the YSU History Museum named after Professor Ludwig Gharibjanyan. Associate Professor Levon Abrahamyan, an ethnographer and cultural anthropologist from the Chair of Archeology and Ethnography, discussed key episodes of the youth and nationalist movements in the 1960s and 70s. He also talked about the styles, preferred clothing, and musical tastes of young people during that era.
YSU psychologists’ scientific research paves the way for expanding international cooperation Associate Professor, PhD Narine Khachatryan, Head of the Chair of Personality Psychology at Yerevan State University, and her research team studied the valuation of individuals in society and the regulation of social relations in different environments. They presented their findings from this long-term study at the 21st European Conference on Personality (ECP21) held at Humboldt University in Berlin.
