Strengthening cooperation between YSU and University of Malta As part of the Erasmus+ Program, Justin Chircop, a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics, Management & Accountancy at the University of Malta, delivered an engaging lecture titled "Share-Based Payments".
Lecture on youth movements in post-Soviet Armenia A lecture titled "Yerevan in the 1970s: Stylistic Reflections and Daily Life" was held at the YSU History Museum named after Professor Ludwig Gharibjanyan. Associate Professor Levon Abrahamyan, an ethnographer and cultural anthropologist from the Chair of Archeology and Ethnography, discussed key episodes of the youth and nationalist movements in the 1960s and 70s. He also talked about the styles, preferred clothing, and musical tastes of young people during that era.
YSU psychologists’ scientific research paves the way for expanding international cooperation Associate Professor, PhD Narine Khachatryan, Head of the Chair of Personality Psychology at Yerevan State University, and her research team studied the valuation of individuals in society and the regulation of social relations in different environments. They presented their findings from this long-term study at the 21st European Conference on Personality (ECP21) held at Humboldt University in Berlin.
YSU student’s perspective on the features of studying abroad Arsen Baghiyan, a 3rd-year undergraduate student at the YSU History Faculty, studied for one semester at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki as part of the Erasmus+ Programme. Arsen talked about the importance of pursuing studies abroad, the new knowledge and experience he gained. He emphasized the value of this opportunity provided by YSU and offered insights into the distinctive features of both universities from his perspective.
Academic Council session: Awarding, conferring scientific titles and discussing current initiatives The recent session of the Academic Council at YSU focused on several key agenda items, including the approval of the current semester's meeting schedule, the awarding of scientific titles to professors and associate professors, updates to the composition of permanent committees, and the endorsement of works for publication. Additionally, various current issues and initiatives across different fields were discussed.
YSU and University of Stavanger collaborate for professional experience exchange Within the framework of the agreement signed between Yerevan State University and Stavanger University (Norway) as part of the Erasmus+ International Mobility Programme, lecturers from the Chair of Social Work and Social Technologies at the Faculty of Sociology were hosted at Stavanger University at the beginning of the 2024-2025 academic year. This initiative aims to expand cooperation and implement joint programs.

YSU team participates in ICPC World Finals 2024 The 48th final phase of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) took place in Astana, Kazakhstan, where the YSU team successfully solved five tasks, achieving 76th place overall and ranking 5th in the number of tasks solved.
YSU unites cultural figures from around the world The YSU Charles Aznavour Cultural Center hosted the solemn opening ceremony of the study tour for conductors and vocal leaders. The tour aims to introduce 30 specialists from various European countries to Armenian choral art and the broader aspects of Armenian culture.
