"CHILDREN ARE OUR PRESENT". MEETING-DISCUSSION DEDICATED TO INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN'S DAY
A meeting-discussion on "Alternative Services, Cooperation and Social Components in the Republic of Armenia in the Context of Children's Rights Protection Policy" was held at YSU Center for European Studies today.
The discussion was dedicated to the International Children's Day and the 30th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Aida Muradyan, Chair of the Child Protection Network, Gayane Martirosyan, Head of the "Family Environment and Community Services for Children in Armenia" program, Lusine Saghumyan, an expert on the rights of disabled children, Luisa Gharibyan, Chief Specialist for Children at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs were present.
The meeting was moderated by Mariam Muradyan, Alumni of the European Studies Center, Child Protection Program Coordinator and Researcher.
She thanked those present for participating in the discussion, noting that the event will bring together the best professionals in this field in Armenia who will address the most important issues and challenges currently present in the field.
The experts were talking about the prospects for state-civil society cooperation, as well as on the programs envisaged and implemented by existing state and civil society.
