YSU EXPANDS WAYS OF COOPERATION. YSU HOSTS VIETNAM REPRESENTATIVES
YSU Vice-rector on International Cooperation and Public Relations Arthur Israelyan today hosted the delegation of the Armenian-Vietnamese Friendship Association.
The meeting was also attended by RA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam Vahram Kazhoyan, Head of YSU International Cooperation Department Alexander Margarov and Deputy Head of International Relations Division Naira Mnatsakanyan.
Arthur Israelyan presented the structure and activities of YSU to the guests.
“More than 150 of our students are foreigners. Unfortunately, there are no Vietnamese among them yet, but I hope we will get them in the near future”: he said.
YSU Vice-rector informed that Chinese and Korean are taught alongside other foreign languages at the University. "In this context, the possibilities and prospects of teaching Vietnamese at YSU can be discussed."
Mr. Alexander Margarov told about the courses organized for foreign students at the university, saying that today almost all educational programs are taught in Russian, and in English - 22 programs, 6 of them in bachelor's and 18 in master's programs.
During the meeting the representatives of the hosted delegation offered to establish cooperation between YSU and American University of Vietnam, which will enable YSU students to continue their education in Vietnam.
At the end of the discussion Arthur Israelyan presented the guests with books and souvenirs issued on the occasion of YSU 100th anniversary.
