HOSPITALITY, TRADITIONAL SONG AND DANCE. YSU STUDENTS CELEBRATE TRNDEZ
On the initiative of YSU Faculty of European Languages and Communication YSU students celebrated Tyarnaradach (it is a feast of purification in the Armenian Apostolic Church) in YSU 7th building today.
The event was attended by Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Ruben Melkonyan, Dean of the Faculty of European Languages and Communication Gevorg Barseghyan, faculty lecturers and students.
Dean of the Faculty of European Languages and Communication Gevorg Barseghyan noted that the students of the faculty once again prove that they preserve and transmit Armenian traditions.
During the celebration, the students made the traditional fire, then, hand in hand, jumped over the fire, performed traditional song and dance.
Traditional songs and dances were followed by hospitality with food symbolizing the feast (halva, gata, salad, wine, baklava).
