‘FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN IRANIAN AND ARMENIAN PEOPLE CAN BE A GOOD EXAMPLE FOR OTHER STATES’: AMBASSADOR EXTRAORDINARY AND PLENIPOTENTIARY H.E. MR. ABBAS BADAKHSHAN ZOHOURI
On the initiative of the Chair of Iranian Studies at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia Abbas Badakhshan Zohօuri met with YSU staff.
YSU Acting Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan received in his office the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran headed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia Abbas Badakhshan Zohօuri.
The Acting Rector presented the university educational, scientific and friendly relations with Iran's partner universities and scientific centers, which have been strengthened and developed over the years.
"Iran is a friendly country with which we have strong historical, cultural, political and scientific-educational relationships. YSU is currently carrying out serious work on the internationalization of the university. It can be interesting for Iranian students to visit our faculties of natural sciences - Biology, Pharmacy, where there are laboratories equipped with modern equipment. We can also hold open lectures for other students. The field of cooperation is large and multi-layered": he said.
Hovhannes Hovhannisyan thanked the Ambassador for Iran's approach to the recent events in Armenia and the Artsakh Republic and for the balanced policy at the state level.
