INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO THE STUDY OF KIPCHAK LANGUAGE
An international conference dedicated to the current issues of studying the Kipchak language was held today at the Center of Kazakhstan of YSU Faculty of Oriental Studies.
The conference was organized by the joint initiative of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Armenia and YSU Faculty of Oriental Studies. It was held within the framework of the 30th anniversary of the independence of Armenia and Kazakhstan.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Armenia Bolat Imanbayev delivered a welcoming speech at the conference, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Mongolia Zhalgas Adilbayev participated in the video.
The Kazakh diplomats praised the long-term and effective cooperation of YSU and specialists of leading universities and academic institutes of Kazakhstan.
Օn behalf of the YSU Rectorate Artur Israyelyan, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Public Relations, greeted the conference participants.
All the participants of the conference emphasized the unique role of YSU in the study of various issues in the field of Armenology and Turkology, the strengthening of the Armenian-Kazakh cultural ties and cooperation.
During the event it was announced, that YSU Professor Alexander Safaryan was awarded with the "Abay" medal.
