YSU HOSTED THE AMBASSADOR EXTRAORDINARY AND PLENIPOTENTIARY OF JAPAN TO THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA
YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Armenia Masanori Fukushima, discussed with him the opportunities for the development of bilateral cooperation and the prospect of expansion.

After the meeting, the Ambassador visited YSU Faculty of International Relations and introduced the students to the scholarship provided by the Government of Japan.
Ambassador Fukushima said that YSU is the most influential university in Armenia.
“Armenia is an important partner for Japan, which is evidenced by the numerous support programs implemented by the government”, said the Ambassador.
The Ambassador introduced the participants to the program of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan ("MEXT"), which provides scholarships for those wishing to study at Japanese universities.
