VISIT-TRAINING AT ARMENIAN SILICONE VALLEY –PICSART COMPANY
The YSU Alumni and Career Center has organized a visit-training.
“PicsArt” is a photo editing studio created by Armenian programmers. This application makes it possible for users to take images, edit them, share with “PicsArt” community and in other social media networks.
The photo studio was launched in November 2011 by Hovhannes Avoyan and Artavazd Mehrabyan.
Designer J. Baghumyan told the students how the working process is arranged at “PicsArt”. The HR Team of the company in person of L. Haurtyunyan and V. Janoyan presented the possibilities and benefits of working in the company. They presented the matrix structure of the company which makes it possible to distribute the potential and use it maximally effectively.
The spoke about the new achievement of the company-the artificial intellect which gives the possibility to monitor the contents of the application keeping it free from unacceptable images such as violence of drug propaganda.
According to V. Janoyan, the new market of “PicsArt” is China and the company is the most used non-Chinese application in the country.
One of the most important values of the company is its transparency the best proof of it is “no door policy”: both the director and the staff work in the same big room.
