BIOLOGIST FROM BELARUS DELIVERS SPECIALIZED LECTURE AT YSU
Today the Chair of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Biotechnology hosted the leading researcher of of the Institute of Microbiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, PhD in Biology Tatyana V. Semashko.
She delivered the lecture entitled “Glucose oxidase as the basis for biofuel devices”.
The visit of T.V. Semashko was organized within the framework of the scientific theme “Hydrogenase of microorganisms and glycerol oxidase as biocatalysts of biofuel devices” of the international competition allotted by the RA MES Scientific Committee and Belarus State Fund. The scientific leader of the Armenian party of the scientific program is the head of the Chair of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Biotechnology of the Faculty of Biology, the correspondent member of the RA NAS, Doctor of Biology Armen Trchounyan, and the scientific group involves three employees of YSU.
After presenting the scientific and research directions and achievements of the Institute of Microbiology of Belarus NAS T. Smashko spoke about biofuel devices, enzymes used in them, possibilities of cleaning and using them.
The Associate Professor of the Chair of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Biochemistry, senior researcher, PhD in Biology Anna Poladyan who is involved in the scientific program too, visited the Institute of Microbiology of Belarus NAS in October where besides implementation of joint research she delivered a lecture.
