“REGIONAL CHALLENGES”: DISCUSSION OF DYNAMICS OF DEVELOPMENT OF ARMENIAN-GEORGIAN RELATIONSHIP

The main goal of the course is to present the peculiarities of domestic and foreign policy of the countries of South Caucasian region.

The expert for Georgia, the researcher of the regional research center of RA State Academy of Management Johnny Melikyan delivered a lecture.

The lecturer to the stages of formation of Armenian-Georgian diplomatic relations, achievements and current development. According to him there are several directions of cooperation: political, economic and cultural. And in this context the principle difference in the vectors of foreign policy of these countries is very interesting. “One of the most important problems of Armenia’s foreign policy is improvement and strengthening of Armenian-Russian relationship while Georgia’s policy aims to strengthen relations between Georgia and European Union. Johnny Melikyan also touched upon the factor of stability of the two countries.
