JOINT MEETING OF ACADEMIC COUNCILS DEDICATED TO YSU PHYSICIST BABKEN KHACHATRYAN
The joint meeting of the academic councils of the Faculty of Physics and Scientific-Research Institute of Physics was held today in the Assembly Hall of YSU Faculty of Physics.
It was held in commemoration of YSU Professor Babken Khachatryan.
The Dean of the Faculty of Physics Rafik Hakobyan, heads of chairs, lecturers, students, friends and family members of Babken Khachatryan were present at the meeting.
The meeting was held to commemorate and honour the eminent scientist, distinguished Professor of the Chair of Theoretical Physics, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics Babken Khachatryan.
The head of the Chair of Theoretical Physics Aram Saharyan presented a video on the life and scientific and pedagogical legacy of the scientist who was highly respected by his students and colleagues, authored more than 60 scientific works, teaching manuals.
The lecturers of the faculty, his friends and former students shared their recollections about the eminent physicist.
The Professor of the Chair of Nuclear Physics Aelita Danagulyan and the Professor of the Chair of Theoretical Physics Roland Avagyan told interesting episodes from the period they had worked with Babken Khachatryan at the university.
