New collective agreement at YSU enters into force today Today, YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan and YSU Trade Union President Ruben Serobyan signed a new collective agreement for YSU. The agreement will be in effect until July 18, 2026.
YSU hosts ICPC Foundation delegation The Armenian government has submitted an application to host the world finals of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC). Today, YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan received the delegation led by ICPC Foundation Head Bill Poucher, assuring them that YSU is prepared to invest the necessary funds and resources to organize the prestigious event to the highest standard.
Additional funding approved for 6 master's degree programs On June 10, the YSU rector approved the procedure for allocating additional funding to master's educational programs for the 2024/25 academic year. Heads of master's programs, with 15 or more students enrolled can apply for this funding.
YSU natural science camp: the key to the world of science for schoolchildren On the initiative of the YSU Continuing Education Center and the Hayastan All Armenian Fund, 60 schoolchildren from different provinces of Armenia participated in the "Science is fun!" See! Touch! Try!" camp, engaging in scientific experiments and hands-on activities.
"Refugee and Migrant Children" HELP online course launched On the joint initiative of the YSU European Studies Center, the Council of Europe and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), two events were hosted at the Best Western Plus Congress Hotel. The first event marked the launch of the "Refugee and Migrant Children" HELP online course, while the second event featured a certificate award ceremony for participants of the "Asylum and Human Rights" UNHCR/HELP online course.

New media has transformed the anatomy of communication, YSU Associate Professor Astghik Avetisyan says Astghik Avetisyan, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor in the Chair of Print and Broadcast Media at the YSU Faculty of Journalism, and President of the Armenian PR Association, published a book titled "New Media and Communication," supported by the YSU Academic Council. This scientific monograph covers trends and innovations in new media and communication, key theories of modern media, the opportunities provided by digital platforms, innovative approaches, and analyses of key concepts and knowledge.
