"IN THE CASE OF UNREGULATED DISTANCE LEARNING, COMPETITION WILL BE CONFUSING": VAHRAM DUMANYAN
Dean of YSU Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics Vahram Dumanyan presented a proposal on the examination period, as well as on the order of evaluation of graduation theses and master's theses.
In a conversation with us a few days ago, Vahram Dumanyan mentioned that there are many concerns and issues related to the distance learning process, which need to be clarified.
In a conversation with us, the dean stated that today the situation has changed.
According to him at that time, the situation was more stressful because people were not psychologically ready.
"But we have already adapted to the situation, overcome the psychological barrier and make progress, now we organize discussions with students and try to find solutions to the current issues": he said.
According to Vahram Dumanyan, in the conditions of prolongation of the state of emergency, the biggest problem concerns the organization of the examination period, as well as the organization and completion of the defense of master's theses and master's theses.
"I suggest that in case of organizing the examination period remotely, the 20-point grading system should be replaced by handing over / not handing over in the order of evaluation, and in case of defense of graduation works, he has defended / not defended '' said Mr. Vahram Dumanyan.
According to the dean, this proposal is aimed not at ensuring development, but at solving the problem in case of emergency.
Vahram Dumanyan said that the proposal was discussed by YSU acting Rector Gegham Gevorgyan.
''I hope, that we will know his statement as well '': said Vahram Dumanyan.
