THE AMBASSADOR EXTRAORDINARY AND PLENIPOTENTIARY OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN TO THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA VISITED YSU
YSU Acting Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyanreceived the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Armenia H.E. Mr Bolat Imanbayev.
YSU Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Public Relations Artur Israyelyan, Head of the Chair of Turkic Studies Alexander Safaryan, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Armenia Zarina Shakhmanova were present at the meeting.
Bolat Imanbayev stated that the wonderful relations between the two countries and their leading universities are important for Kazakhstan and the embassy.
The Ambassador thanked YSU for its willingness to cooperate and for giving an important place and role to Օriental studies.
He attached special importance to the role of YSU Chair of Turkish Studies, which, according to him, is one of the basic pillars of the development of cultural and social relations between the two countries.
YSU Acting Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan stated that Armenia and Kazakhstan are connected by strong historical, cultural, social and economic ties, which should not only be maintained, but also strengthened and expanded.
YSU Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Public Relations Arthur Israyelyan noted that the joint educational, research and cultural events also prove the active cooperation between YSU and Kazakh universities.
Alexander Safaryan said that the cooperation between the two countries has a long history.
