WHEN SPORT JOURNALISM BECOMES PASSION: FACULTY OF JOURNALISM HOSTS YURI ALEXANYAN
The meeting discussion with the President of the Federation of Sport Journalists of Armenia Yuri Alexanyan was held in the TV studio of Multimedia Mab of YSU Faculty of Journalism. Mr. Alexanyan recently published a book entitled “From memories of a sport journalist”.
The Dean of the Faculty Naghash Martirosyan, the world famous boxer, multiple champion of the USSR, double champion of Europe and champion of the World Cup Samson Khachatryan, the world and Europe champion Benur Pashayan, the former captain of “Hatis” basketball team Anahit Sargsyan, as well as representatives of the faculty and students were present at the event.
The participants of the event spoke about the problems existing in various kinds of sport nowadays, discussed the challenges sportsmen face after finishing their career in sport. The guests recollected their victories and the time when they had to build their career in the condition of the cold war.
