RENOVATION OF YSU SPORTS COMPLEX HAS CONTRIBUTED TO THE INVOLVEMENT OF STUDENTS IN PHYSICAL TRAINING The reconstructed sports complex of the Chair of Physical Education and Sports of YSU was put into operation in December 2016. After its operation, it came up with new quality standards. Part of the sports complex is a special rock climbing wall, unique to the region. Thanks to the efforts of YSU Chair of Physical Education and Founder of the club “Aparazh” Suren Sepanyan, after more than fifty years break, Armenia’s Rock climbing championship was held. Recently, the sports complex has become a “stage” for the European fencing championship.
YSU TEAM TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FINAL ROUND OF THE INTERNATIONAL MOOT COURT IN GENEVA For the first time participating in the Nelson Mandela Human Rights World Moot Court Competition, YSU team was among the best teams in the world in the first round and was given the opportunity to take part in the final round of the competition.

Archeological excavations have discovered wheat grains, and it turned out that 2.5 thousand years ago the Ararat Valley cultivated wheat and soft wheat. Barley cultivation in Armenia started 5-6 thousand years ago. The purity and unity of the grains discovered during the excavations indicate that in the 9th-6th centuries BC. varieties of barley were prepared, from which beer was prepared.
